Imani Jaye drops a stellar EP with "Disillusionment"

A must listen from a promising talent

As the weather makes its turn and we switch out our jackets for full fledged coats, the music we tend to play becomes more reflective and nostalgic. It is in this season that Imani Jaye blessed us with her Disillusionment EP, and rightfully so.

The project has an autobiographical feel to it, as Jaye details her past relationships with precise recollection. We're thrust into her life from the very first lines: "Poppa was a rolling stone, better yet asshole, mom was on the search for her soul and I was in the middle of it". From there we go on a journey of Jaye's psyche, where by the last track we're reminded that it's okay to cry, but we are not alone.
