Shawn Fulcher is NEXT. NYC guard has crazy potential!

THE BK GUARD IS COMING FOR WHAT'S HIS

There’s a budding New York City hoop star located in the East New York section of Brooklyn, New York. Shawn Fulcher is a rugged lion hearted NYC guard that has surefire  “top in the city” potential. The East New York native is around 5’9 but plays with the heart and tenacity that you can’t quite measure. He currently attends Xaverian Catholic High School and after playing virtually 0 minutes his freshman campaign due to school related issues and a nagging injury, Shawn Fulcher is ready to put his name up for top guards in the city.

“I feel like A lot of shine that freshmen had could’ve been on me if I was on the court"

It was difficult for Shawn to sit out and watch fellow freshman dominate while he dealt with a multitude of off court issues. “I feel like A lot of shine that freshmen had could’ve been on me if I was on the court, it fueled my fire and motivated me because I knew when I step on the court that I could’ve been the best freshman guard in the CHSAA”. He also felt like the bond he had already as a freshman with his Xaverian teammates would’ve shown and would created and instant impact on the court, stating: "I knew me and my Xaverian brothers would’ve been unstoppable and we would’ve had great chemistry together”. But Fulcher is ready to take over not only on the court but also in the classroom.”My goal in school is to just to be a student athlete," He says."Take care of my business and responsibilities in the classroom ”.

"Pressure is not in my vocabulary. I feel like I could achieve whatever I put my mind to."

Now as to making his mark in the city, Fulcher has big plans. “First I wanna make sure I get my teammates GET better in games and in practice all season long. I also wanna win a CHSAA championship, Get most improved player of the year, and become one of the Best Guards in the City”. Lofty expectations for a first year varsity player but Fulcher doesn’t feel much pressure “Pressure is not in my vocabulary," He says. "I feel like I could achieve whatever I put my mind to." He feels his summer of AAU prepared him well for what the CHSAA has coming his way. “ It was a great experience, it helped me learn the game more and the process of becoming a high level player” Sounds like a summer with Coach Greg and Sha from the PSA cardinals helped Shawn a lot. Shawn Fulcher is not here to be average folks, he’s here to make his mark in the city. He’s already got the right mindset, now it’s time for him to show the city the talent that we here at gritty hoops already know he has.
