Being from Indiana, which is next-door neighbors with the capitol of ‘DRILL’ (Chicago) can be hard to create your own lane. Especially, if you aren’t willing to conform or socially, you don’t fit the description of a “rapper.” Indianapolis’ rising soundcloud artist Ca$houtJony is on the verge of ex’ing out the norms and shaking the game up! Despite the demographics, numbers aren’t a problem for him. He’s gotten over 228k plays on his song ‘My Time ft. Young Pharaoh,’ 70.7k on ‘4800’ and the number list goes on and on. OH YEAH VIBERS, THIS IS ALL OFF THE MUSCLE, NO PAY FOR REPOST FLEX! We recently hit up Ca$houtJony to get the inside yadig!

1. Where’d the name “Ca$hOutJony” come from?

At first I called myself “Jony Ca$h” but I switched it up to “Ca$hOutJony” cuz that was my @ name on IG. I just ran with it cuz it’s catchy.

2. How did you get into music?

I got into rapping at an early age because my dad was a rapper. So I’ve been around music and it’s always been a love of mine.

3. In an area that is heavily influenced by drill and trap, how does Ca$hOutJony’s sound still create buzz?

In the area I’m in, it’s a lot of people that wanna rap. I can’t say nothing though because I’m one of them. But I feel like I can differentiate myself from all the others because I be myself.

4. If you had to live life as a cartoon character, who would you chose and why?

Goku no doubt. He’s the goat. Legendary.

5. Musically, who are some of the artist that you’re often compared to?

I’ve been compared to Playboi Carti and Trippie Redd. Really can’t say people say more than that. But I think people hear the beats I rap on or if I’m using auto tune a certain way, they think an artist that’s bigger than me right now invented a certain sound or something like that.

6. What are the realist bars or verse you ever wrote?

Tbh, it’s a lot of real shit I’ve written/rapped. I can’t really single out a single bar. If you really go and listen to me now and my new music I be saying real shit. So that’s for everyone else to decide on.

7. Why should the world give Ca$hOutJony a chance?

The world should give Ca$hOutJony a chance because I’m the future. Very influential. I’m motivated and motivational. I’m like walking entertainment lol. Folks just gotta check it out.
