Snowy Day Photo series

Tonight was a good night. My lovely wife and I attended a Branford Marsalis concert — the musician who made the soundtrack to our favorite film, Mo’ Betta Blues. I was able to secure VIP tickets for us, perks of knowing many of the other marketing directors in the city. Favor for a favor!

Then, we did dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. When we stepped outside after eating, the whole Queens was blanketed in snow. While we were rushing to the car, all caught up in the blizzard, my wife Amanda stopped and said “We should take pictures.”

And she was right — so what it was snowing! Lately, things have been moving really fast. We’re moving into a house next month, I’m writing a new book, Amanda’s about to sign to a new acting agency next week.

But in that moment, we were just two kids, playing in the snow — and I really needed that.
