Dusty Locane is out to make a name for himself

Dusty Locane is the newest NY Drill Rapper from Canarsie

When DJ Akademiks shared a post from rising Brooklyn talent Dusty Locane, the comments that followed were a mix of excitement and anger. Some were hyped that a void left by Pop Smoke's death was being filled, and others pissed that his style was allegedly being copied. Here at Gritty Vibes, we've been impressed by Dusty Locane's promising start. His track  "Rolando" is blowing up before our eyes, and yes, the comparisons are unavoidable. The lingo, the neighborhood, the gang affiliation, and that unmistakeable voice. Rather than speak too soon, we're going to tune in and see how this plays out. Now that he's gaining a platform, it'd be great to see him expand as an artist and come into his own. This is what we've witnessed from Lil Tjay's career, who has dealt with constant comparisons to A Boogie.https://youtu.be/2bFh8KhDuAsNonetheless, we're happy to see a brother make it and we're excited to see what's next. Some say the spirit of Pop Smoke lives on through Dusty's music, but instead, we're saying that there's only one Pop, and we're looking forward to the first Dusty Locane.
