Rashaun Ali is on the come up
A name to remember among new york rappers
From the opening quote that graces the track "Exodus" to it's final bar, Rashaun Ali takes us on a journey through his mind. Musically, he shows the poise of an artist who knows exactly who he is, and his melodic story telling gives him a sound of his own. His purpose and talent was honed years ago, as he's been rapping since just ten years old. : "My inspiration to make music stemmed from learning to play the piano at a very young age," He says. "I never learned to read sheet music so i learned from memorization." The creativity exhibited then is on full display now, as his music continually has grown in popularity. https://youtu.be/vdllt_4UHwsA genuine artist is hard to come by these days, and with inspirations such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and The Lox, it's clear he's done his homework. Ali has his eye on a new project which would ideally release in the middle of summer. While it is still in it's planning stages, expect it to be raw and unique. Rashaun has his hand in every facet of his music, usually producing his own tracks and curating his own videos. He's come a long way from the youngin on the piano, but the purity in his work has managed to remain present regardless. "I still have my first mixtape from 2010 sitting on my shelf at home." He says. We having a feeling his next tape will be on a lot of shelves this summer.
