BOURNE AGAIN: Tyler Bourne gets buckets from BK to CT

The floor general did things his way

As a young slick pg for Lincoln high school, Tyler Bourne had the look of the latest Coney Island point god to star for Coach Tiny Morton and the Railsplitters before a long and lucrative hoops career. Just as his name began to ring bells around the Big Apple though, he decided to transfer. "It was a very difficult transition because I know leaving Lincoln was like leaving home but I had to make the decision that was best for me at the end of the day," He says. Bourne resurfaced in CT, where he joined a Notre Dame Fairfield squad and quietly carved out a great high school career away from the distractions of the city. As the summer creeps up, he is now plotting out his decision for what's next.https://youtu.be/sNCiWk6pFfQIn CT, Bourne was inarguably one of the best players in the state, as he dropped 14 points and 10 dimes a game for a Lancers squad that won a ring and went a perfect 27-0. The change of play from the PSAL to CT was a definite adjustment, as more emphasis on X's and O's differed from the get out and go style of the city. Bourne wrapped up a fantastic year with a First Team All State selection by USA Today. "Honestly I felt like I could've accomplished more," He says. "But with me winning a ring senior year and surpassing 1000 points i'm happy."

"It was a very difficult transition because I know leaving Lincoln was like leaving home"

The next move for Bourne is still up in the air but whoever gets him to sign the dotted line will be getting a shifty playmaker but more importantly, a winner. The transfer undoubtedly played a big part in the growth of his game, and he encourages others to find that happiness, wherever it may be. "Make a choice that benefits you the most," He advises. "Don't let another person determine your future, it's okay to be different."
