Journey Of A Designer Exhibition: The fashion event was a MOVIE
THE EVENT SHOWCASED SOME OF THE BEST YOUNG DESIGNERS AND MODELS
Absurd Conclave on 360 Jefferson Street was the place to be last night as the Bushwick location was home to some of the dopest creatives in all of New York City. The Queens based art collective Civilization Three produced the "Journey Of A Designer Runway Exhibition", which featured three up and coming brands, each with their style and presentation. The event was equal parts fashion show and social gathering as the crowd was encouraged to mingle and network while they awaited the models. Free alcohol was on deck all night while the DJ blasted a diverse array of tunes, setting the mood for what was to come.
The first brand, Wackavelli had a solid streetwear line, boasting everything from hoodies, to jackets to dad hats and more. Next up was Byron Kim, who's line was described as wearable art and lived up to it, as his pieces had some serious high end potential. Ill Era finished the night off right, as its designer Kaizer $osai grabbed the mic and performed in front of a raucous crowd (And his emotional mother). All in all, the event was a success, and we'll be looking out for these brands, and more events from Civilization Three, in the future.
